For qualifying purchases, current Ontario HST relief may be available under the Ontario Enhanced New Housing Rebate, which provides up to $80,000 toward the provincial portion of HST for eligible new homes valued at up to $1 million. The Ontario New Home Affordability Payment may provide up to an additional $50,000 toward the federal portion of HST, subject to applicable requirements and reductions where other federal rebates apply.
