Starward Homes traces its building heritage to 1906, when Edward Ratcliffe established E.B. Ratcliffe Builder in Hamilton after emigrating from England and built his first home on Cannon Street. The family’s building tradition continued through Abbotsford Homes, and in 1979, Ward Campbell, together with his sister Lydia and her husband Jan Szostak, formed Starward Homes as its successor. Today, the company represents more than 100 years of homebuilding experience across four generations, with Brandon Campbell as President and Carley Campbell as Vice President. Starward has built thousands of homes throughout Southern Ontario and operates in communities including Hamilton, Ancaster and Cambridge. Its portfolio includes townhomes, bungalofts and condominiums, with current and completed communities across these markets.
