Pearle Hospitality

Pearle Hospitality traces its family roots to 1936, when Pearle Ciancone and her husband Jim opened Hillcrest Dairy in Hamilton, with the Ciancone family continuing through multiple generations of hospitality and property development. In 1979, Ron and David Ciancone acquired Ancaster Mill, establishing the foundation for the modern Pearle Hospitality portfolio and its approach to restoring distinctive properties. Today, Aaron Ciancone serves as CEO, with the company remaining family-owned and based in Burlington, Ontario. Over the decades, Pearle has restored, developed and repurposed properties across Southern Ontario, including Ancaster Mill, Cambridge Mill, Elora Mill, The Pearle Hotel & Spa and other hospitality destinations. Its residential work includes Elora Mill Residences, Pearle’s first luxury condominium development, while its current development portfolio includes Cambridge Mill Hotel & Residences and the Toronto Power redevelopment in Niagara Falls. Pearle’s development approach emphasizes heritage preservation, thoughtful design, craftsmanship and collaboration with public stakeholders, combining historic architecture with contemporary spaces and amenities. The company’s current focus includes heritage-led redevelopment and integrated hospitality and residential projects, while continuing to build on its long-standing emphasis on meaningful experiences, community and careful stewardship of distinctive Ontario properties.
